Micro Bond Hair Extensions

Gosh its been a while hasn't it? I'm still catching up with my mountain of university work aswell as finding work/internships for the summer and mountaining the job I have at the moment. Although being home is the best feeling in the world, to not only come back to my king size bed and proper food but to also see my loved ones that I've missed. I'm one of them girls that likes to change their hair everytime I go to the hairdressers as I get bored so easily, Maddie always loves the challenge of doing something new to my hair and does it with beauiful results. However this trip to the hairdressers resulted me going back to my favourite hair trend, ombre and trying something different. In the salon I regularly go to in my hometime called Russos they are doing an offer on Micro Bond hair extensions for £190, including 2 free blow dries which is a bargain! As normal retail price for the extensions and fitting can cost up to £300, and Laura my friend that does them in the salon has been fully trained in putting them in. Since having my hair cut short I've always been a bit oo and ahh whether to get extensons, but I never did. But hearing about these extensions I was determined to get them.

This was my hair before I had anything done to it, it's been this length for a while now and it doesn't seem to want to shift.

Left: This was with the added blonde at the end of my hair and some brown colouring on top to cover my roots.
Right: The final result with the Micro Bond hair extensions, Laura even curled them for a more glamourous effect.

And this is the final result! I completly love them, they didn't take as long as I thought to put in as I was expecting to be there all day. They didn't hurt either to put in and they do feel like real hair aswell. Since having them done I've had my hair to one side plaited so they dont get tangled at night and to also keep the curl in my hair. Definetly worth it, and they should last between 2-6 months depending on how well you look after them, I'm aiming for 6 months!

One Topshop Dress, So Many Ways

I wanted to try something different within this blog entry, typically I'm writing about what clothes I'm loving at the moment or my outfits of the week. Though as I love experimenting with outfits so much I thought I would do a styling post with what I would wear with a certain outfit. This is my first time in doing this so just bare with me! Hopefully you like the results, fingers crossed! I've done a dressed up and an everyday look for this outfit so you get your value for money with this dress, which is important as i'm a student. Tomorrow I will do the dressed up look for this outfit but for now here is my everyday look, enjoy!

Everyday Look:

My key element is this stunning Topshop dress which I've pining after for a while now. Hopefully my sister will get the little hint after this post.

Basketball Style Cardigan: Knitted 'A' Rib Cardi £40
Split Ring:  Pyramid Split Ring £10
Flat Peep Toe Shoes: Hamper Woven Peep Shoes £26
All items are from Topshop.

I wanted to add a sense of vibrance to this outfit and with this gloomy cold weather, I wanted to add a jumper or a cardigan for a warm comfortable look. Then adding a simple ring so you dont draw away from the pattern of the dress and style of the jumper. I then added some simple shoes, either pumps for an elegant look and if the weather is warm of course. Or even some high top trainers for a sense of comfort and that edgy feel.

Hope you like this outfit, let me know what you think!

OOTW-Week 7 "One way or another, I'm gonna see ya"

I'm writing this post a day early due to the fact it's my beautiful sisters birthday tomorrow and unfortunately I'll be spending it on a coach back to Southampton. I have never missed any of my siblings birthday's before so I'm gutted I have to miss hers, although when I'm back next week I have a few surprises up my sleeves for her. I'll keep you posted on them! In my last OOTW entry I was saying how the sun is starting to rear its head again, but unfortunately I was very wrong. It was so cold and dull last week my bed became even more tempting to hibernate in. Here are my four favourite outfits of the week:

Top Left: A casual freezing day at university I wore- Cut out shoulder jumper from River Island, Heart necklace from Primark, Dogtooth printed treggings from Topshop and Nike blazers.
Top Right: A busy day shopping and at university I wore- Dark purple pepulum top from Primark, Studded wait belt from Primark, Mid sleeved cardigan from Topshop, Grey skinny jeans from Topshop and Dark brown boots from Peacocks.
Bottom Left: A night out in Bedford Place I wore- Cropped lace top from Topshop, Eagle necklace from Topshop and Pink shorts from Topshop.
Bottom Right: For my journey back home I wore- Printed zipped back vest from Topshop, Green print cardigan from Urban Outfitters, Disco pants from River Island and my typical High wedges boots from Internacionale.

Have a good weekend everyone!
