OOTW- Week 9- "We're up all night to get lucky"

With the sun shining, this month is getting better by the day. The endless shopping trips that are killing my overdraft, the drives to the seaside and my best friends 21st is stopping me from the reality of the endless uni work I have to do. Top Right: For my birthday night out in Southampton I wore- Tweed playsuit from Love Label. Digging the dungarees!

Image
The sunshine is here! Finally the weather is starting to slowly get better and I'm so excited. Summer is about the sunshine, BBQ's, being with friends and of course the copious amounts of alcohol and beer garden sessions. Though with summer must come your new summer wardrobe, que dungarees. As a child everyone used to own a pair of dungarees but with the 90's being one of the key trends for this Spring/Summer, be sure to have your pair! Whether short or long you decide, here are a few of my favourites: Nilda short denim dungarees £26.99 Miss Guided   Hillary lightweight dungarees in candy pink £19.99 Miss Guided      Light acid wash short denim dungarees £35 River Island   Black smart dungarees £40 River Island   MOTO Clean denim pini dress £36 Topshop A twist on the typical dungarees, big for this Summer. OOTW-Week 7 "One way or another, I'm gonna see ya"

Image
I'm writing this post a day early due to the fact it's my beautiful sisters birthday tomorrow and unfortunately I'll be spending it on a coach back to Southampton. I have never missed any of my siblings birthday's before so I'm gutted I have to miss hers, although when I'm back next week I have a few surprises up my sleeves for her. I'll keep you posted on them! In my last OOTW entry I was saying how the sun is starting to rear its head again, but unfortunately I was very wrong. It was so cold and dull last week my bed became even more tempting to hibernate in. Here are my four favourite outfits of the week: Top Left: A casual freezing day at university I wore- Cut out shoulder jumper from River Island , Heart necklace from Primark , Dogtooth printed treggings from Topshop and Nike blazers. Top Right: A busy day shopping and at university I wore- Dark purple pepulum top from Primark , Studded wait belt from Primark , Mid sleeved cardigan from Top...

OOTW Week 6 "It's like your my mirror"

Image
All the days seem to blurring into one right now. I cant believe how quick this year is going already, were nearly in March! It's been a massive week for fashion and music with the phenomenal London Fashion Week going on as well as The Brit Awards, and how can you forget Rihanna's debut first range for River Island. AMAZING!! But of course I can't forget to mention Justin Timberlakes comeback performance in far too long at The Brits, he is definitely getting better looking with age! I've only got 3 weeks left at university before I break up for Easter, but even though I'm so excited to go home now, I'm definitely not excited with the amount of work I have to do before. This seems to be a regular moan of mine every week, so I do apologise! These are my five favourite outfits of the week: Top Left: Going out for lunch with my flat mates I wore; Diamond vest from H&M , Military shirt from Primark , Black plain leggings from Topshop and High wedged traine...

20% off River Island Jeans, bye overdraft!

Image
90's fashion is one of the key trends this spring and summer, which means denim is back! Thinking back to the 90's I remember those typical shows I used to love, such as; Saved By The Bell, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Friends, Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, The Amanda Show and of course Keenan and Kel. I've been looking for a new pair of jeans for a while now, but I'm so indecisive and hate trying stuff on I never get round to doing it. Though seeing online this morning that River Island were currently having 20% off jeans from 21st-24th February, definitely got me excited but my overdraft not as much. I love River Island jeans, for up to £40 you get get decent long lasting well fitting jeans! The majority of my jeans are from River Island as I trust their fittings and I know they will last a long time. I have a three year old pair of River Island jeans that are still in the best condition. Here are my favourite jeans from their 20% off range:   Acid wash amelie superskin...

Crop Tops- a key wardrobe essential!

Image
I honestly can't believe how quick the weather changes, one minute it will be snowing the next it's raining BUT today finally it's sunny. I genuinely can't remember the last time we had such beautiful sunny weather, it's definitely long over due. But you know what that means? Summer is nearly approaching so it's time to slowly start to re-vamp that wardrobe of yours. Crop tops are making an appearance back on the high street, being teamed up with the latest Leggings/Treggings or even the on going trend of disco pants. I love wearing crop tops, although I'm very conscious of my stomach, so I always team them up with anything high waisted whether it's high waisted jeans/treggings or shorts. This gives the illusion that I'm longer than what I appear, which is always a bonus for me! Faiga galaxy-crop-top £7.99 MissGuided   Ruby stripe short sleeve crop-top £10 Boohoo Arida short sleeve high neck crop-top £8.99 MissGuided Lashes ...

OOTW-Week 3- "You turned out to be the best thing I never had"

Image
I can't believe how quick this week has rushed by, I can't remember the majority of things that have happened and for once I was only drunk one night... well maybe two but that was my bosses fault. With university work escalating up by the second and me struggling to reach the top, I went home for a bit of me time and to be around my loved ones. I always thought going to university your closest friends would slowly start to drift away and forget the memories you had together, but this week has shown what an amazing group of friends I truly do have. Though not to forget my family who never cease to amaze me with how supportive they are, I couldn't ask for anything more! Anyway enough of my soppyness, here are my five favourite outfits of this week: Top Left: A cold early morning in Southampton I wore a Lace insert dress from Topshop , Patterned woolly cardigan from Topshop , Topshop Leggings and Internacionale High Tops. Top Right : For a night out I wanted a more c...

OOTW- Week 2- "I'm not afraid they can read all about it"

Image
After over a month of over indulging on ridiculous amounts of sleep, over eating, doing absolutely nothing and spending like I have an endless supply of money I went back to uni last week. Not going to lie setting my alarm for 6:50am for 3 days in a row did kill me! Three 9am starts out of four, this term is going to be a struggle to get up for. But after learning what we are doing for this term I'm actually quite interested in what this term has to offer. Enough of blabbering on here are my 5 favourite outfits I wore this week: Top Left: Early morning start for University I wore a Long love heart t-shirt which I tucked in to make it smaller from Topshop from 2 years ago, Disco pants from River Island and my comfortable Nike blazers. Top Right : For a long day at University I wanted a more casual outfit so I wore a Jack Daniels top from Ebay , High waisted jeans from Topshop , Blazer Internacionale and again my Nike blazers. Bottom Left : Dressing up a simple outfit wit...

Where's my money tree?

Image
Snowy weather reminds me of my childhood and my family, though it's a shame Southampton has only had one proper day of snow in comparison from where I'm from. My family have been out in the snow sledging, making snow men and of course the odd snowball fight that ends up with someone in tears- , which typically would've been me. But with the cold weather comes more and more internet shopping whilst snuggled in bed , well in my case anyway. H aving come back to university with two weeks to spare a day didn't pass that I didn't have a cheeky look at Topshop or Asos without being tempted to buy their whole website. Student loans have gone in at the same time that the winter sales are still on going, my overdraft is becoming more and more dented by the minute. Here are a few items that I'm seriously tempted of purchasing, it is pay day soon anyway so it wouldn't do much harm , would it? Kylie Cap Sleeved Scoop Neck Midi Dress- £12- Boohoo   Right on trend...

OOTW- Outifts of the week -Week1 "I wanna scream and shout!"

Image
As the weather is getting colder it's understandable people are dressing more for comfort and warmth more than anything else. This is something I agree to to a point, however I'm the worst judge when it comes to the weather, I always check the weather everyday to ensure I wont be to hot or cold... but still to no prevail. Looking at the weather today it said -1 in Southampton and cloudy, I thought I'll be fine in a skirt 2 layers of tights , a t-shirt and a jacket ... HOW WRONG WAS I! Freezing was an understatement, my leather skirt was riding up and my legs were like two icicles slowly getting colder by the second. The thought of wearing a onsie to university is becoming more and more appealing. Although the weather has had us all snuggled up in bed in copius amount of layers, we've all still tried to carry on like we can't see the weather getting any worse. Here are my five favourite outfits from this week including two outfit's of going out with my alcohol j...

Winter: Time To Get Warm

Image
Sitting all snuggled up in my prison cell like uni room , dreading to leave my bed as it would be like facing the antartic, so I'll just stay here cocooned in my duvet for a little bit longer. It's getting colder day by day so it's essential that you wrap up, to keep yourself not only warm but to stop getting ill and to of course look on trend this season. Returning back up north for Christmas I've been nagged numerous times from my mum how cold it is and to ensure I do wrap up or I will be freezing. I never seem to like winter, I love the joy and happiness it brings, though I hate the coldness and how areas of your body you didn't think we get cold get freezing. Maybe it's time I start adding a few accessories to my wardrobe to not only add flair to my outfit, but to keep me as warm as a hot roasting fire would back at home. We see this winter season the arrival of the all in one hat scarf and glove set, sounds strange saying it or even writing it bu...

Rihanna 777 London Tour Streamed Live Performance

Image
7 shows, 7 cities, 7 days. If anyone can do it Rihanna can do it and I assure you she will be incredible! Streamed on the River Island Facebook page in corporation with Budweiser and HTC we saw a live streaming of her London leg of her 777 tour and I'll be honest I was amazed. Although I waited two hours to ensure I would get to see the show from the very beginning it was amazing considering the amount of people that would be watching it from their laptops. I had no problems with buffering, nothing, it was as though she was right there in front of me- I wish! In comparison to her usual sexy barely there tour outfits she's known to wear she went for a simple high waisted ankle trousers and blazer with the same pattern, and a Madonna-esque style bra let top, though you could put Rihanna in everything and she would pull it off and still look superb!. She also showcased another new hairstyle which was the left side of her head shaved and back to her long black locks everywhere ...

Winter Coats, Which ones are the best?

Image
It's that time of year when we're all thinking it's Christmas again, really?! I can't even remember what I did for New Years: But can anyone ?!  When shopping in our local Tesco's I came across a whole aisle of advent calendar's and item's dedicated to Christmas....it's here already. So it's time to dig out those Christmas jumpers and scarves;you know the ones your nan knitted you, even though your embarrassed to wear them they are the comfiest things known to man! Then get prepared for another very cold Christmas. I've been looking for a winter coat for a while now, but I'm so indecisive; do I want long coats or short, leather or no leather, fur or no fur?! So many decisions! Here are a few of my favourite coats I've stumbled across, make sure you get your NUS Card's and overdrafts ready... In trend for winter we have the military style style which can be seen fully within the shops, whether its from the structure of the coats or e...
